I used to find it a tedious piece of wackoonery but now I’m out of the Demo I’ve come to accept it. Like, whatever.
However I have nephews now and that means CBeebies when I’m visiting family on a weekend. And that means awesome kids show Swashbuckle! Here is the first episode Youtube came up with.

Alan Carr will host a Christmas quiz for Channel 4, The Twelve Stars of Christmas:
“On the nights before Christmas, Alan Carr will turn festive elf as he presents a star-studded quiz – The Twelve Stars Of Christmas – where the audience take home the prizes, if their celebrity rep knows what’s what from 2016.
“In each show, playing for one third of the audience, will be three celebrity guests who will take it in turns to choose doors from Alan’s giant Advent Calendar. Behind each door will be a famous face armed with a question about the highlights (and lowlights) of the year.
I wonder if this is in addition to The Big Fat Quiz of the Year or in lieu of?
The US version of The Almost Impossible Gameshow starts next month:

(it’s a half-hour, 6 players, they have 40 lives to win 4 games- and they’re bringing in the same commentators from the UK version)
The Rubberbandits are from Limerick – as was Terry Wogan.
And now they’re (sort of) hosting a US show – something Wogan never did.
That certainly doesn’t make them more successful than Wogan, though, does it? 😉
Don’t they do something with WWE? I hadn’t heard of them before TAIGS, it was actually an American who pointed them out to me.
Their song Horse Outside was pretty popular thing in 2010. In Ireland, though. Not sure how it spread to America to be honest.
I’m surprised they haven’t replaced TRB with American comedians.
You’d think so, but then again they kept Jonathan Ross on for The CW’s Penn and Teller. I think they test the water with Brits to start with to save putting the job to tender.
Although Jonathan was dropped for the series of Fool Us that’s just gone out in the States, replaced with actress Alyson Hannigan.
Can you imagine AIGS without Rubberbandits though?
That said, can America deal with the Rubberbandits?
For me, The Rbs make the show. Without them it would just be a poor man’s (Total) Wipeout. But quite obviously they’re an acquired taste.
In fairness, Wipeout did end in 2014 in America. Can you imagine the two blokes from that commentating on this?
