Current provisional Channel 4 schedules make interesting reading for the week after next.
A week on Friday it’s the next Fifteen to One Final and from the following Monday it’s therefore off the schedules resulting in Countdown moving on an hour to 3:10, Deal or No Deal comes with it to 2:10 and another go for Benchmark slots in at 1:10!
When was the last time Countdown started post 3pm? It’s The Nick Hewer Golden Age, clearly.
Last day when Countdown started after 3pm? How soon we forget: it was 30 January. Moved an hour earlier to squeeze in Shipping Wars UK (remember that?!).
In other schedule bumping, I see that Only Connect is down for 7.30 on 2 November, an hour earlier than traditional. The reason is so that The Quizeum can launch its second series on BBC4 at 8.30.
What sort of ridiculous scheduling is that?
I forgot about Shipping Wars UK That seemed to SINK without trace
I personally didn’t think The Quizeium was that exciting
Another 1.2/4 (4.8 million viewers) for Best Time Ever, “doing well enough to suggest the network could order more episodes”

Last night’s episode was actually quite good! The audience-surprise segment was Neil’s mom and her upcoming birthday (and Neil brought his husband out on stage and introduced him as part of the festivities). Also, for Singalong Live, Neil explained that people in the audience had planted the secret Skype cameras in the homes of the contestants to be selected … but one of them was down, so we got to see an audience member play. (He’s doing more of this explaining about every hidden-camera segment every week, obviously to cut down on the “creepy” factor.)
Worth using the dark arts to find.
If you don’t mind a bit of algorithm-defeating lens flare, this YouTube user appears to be posting the whole series in nice full screen, although last night’s isn’t up yet:

In the days before C4 just gave up and doubled up on 15 to 1 and Countdown (sound familar?) wasn’t there also a quiz hosted by that bloke from Hangar 17?
Sounds a bit like Think Tank? I sorta remember that from way back when.
Same person also posted a Think Tank episode:

And Think Tank was devised by the guy who created Catchphrase so there you go fact fans
Thanks. Even back in the 90s a personal CD player was a pretty poor prize. Think I’d rather have the dictionary!
Wasn’t there something with Clive Anderson too or did that come later. I know there was Number 1, which I quite liked, but think that effectively replaced 15 to 1 before they extended Countdown.
That Clive Anderson quiz was a panel show called Back In The Day and was one of several shows that filled Countdown,s slot between July 05 shortly after Richard Whiteley,s untimely death and October that year when Des Lynham started
Number 1 was a pretty decent quiz it took 15 To 1’s slot between July and September 01
Micky Hutton – The most famous geordie before Ant and Dec left the youth club???
Not been watching it but according to Challenge’s Facebook feed the 1990s episodes of Countdown they bought somehow run out tomorrow but on the Quarter Finals so they’re having to investigate buying the Semis and Final for a future date!
Wow, that’s stupid.
I can only presume it’s to do with the fact that the ‘finals’ stage is technically produced in a different run, but why it’s sold like that is beyond me.
