As there is little else of note in what is rapidly becoming the most boring year in gameshow history, here’s the opening to Cyber Zone.
Awooga!
Two Tribes films 13th Jan-13th Feb at Elstree, tickets SRO. Quite good fun.

Not very game show based but Phillip Schofield is underway in his 24 hour challenge! On all day in the rather bizarre place of ITV3 with dipping in and out on the other ITV channels
When Only Connect was announced to move to BBC2, way back when, I recall three new shows being tentatively announced to “take it’s place” in some fashion; The Knowledge, Enigma and Eliminate the Impossible. Yet we’ve heard nothing about any of these, does anyone know what any of them are?
My personal guess is Enigma is essentially complicated riddles, Eliminate the Impossible is something Lie Swatter-esque, and not a clue on The Knowledge.
I think two of them were piloted, none of them were commissioned.
The RDF one (Enigma according to Google) was piloted then rejected, I believe. They’re still in the market, they say, but not sure how actively they’re pursuing anything.
No ratings for a while as I’m “between jobs” in case anyone was wondering.
May of mild interest to one or two Bar members, next Saturday is the last ever Wetten, dass..? (The format that gave us You Bet!) after nearly 34 years. Ratings crashed once Thomas Gottschalk left, so they’re calling it quits. 7:15 to 9:45 UK time on the 13th, usually ZDF feeds are easy to find.
Furthermore to the above, they’re considering doing another at some point after the finale after protests from former hosts.
I actually thought it had already ended, so that’s exciting.
It’s the Incredible Games remake we’ve all been crying out for! Well, that Brig has, at least.
The relevant running joke that has been limping along for years would seem to be in actually fairly poor taste here…
Yep. The thing is it sounds like a vertical version of Panic Button which we had a look at a while ago, and that was quite good fun if a bit relentlessly gloomy – if you liked the Saw aesthetic you might have quite enjoyed it.
