This round requires someone who is good at general knowledge

Well look, credit where it’s due, Pressure Pad seems to have got itself a second series (here’s what we thought of the first one, and you lot voted it fourth best new format in last year’s poll). If you want a go then email pressurepad@12yard.com for an application form, closing date 14th April. Good luck!

Meanwhile Ejector Seat and 15 to 1 film this week, if you have first hand experiences of either do let us know what you think by comment or e-mail (if you want to be publicly anonymous).

Wait, you mean they didn’t announce the big win weeks in advance? For better or worse, that’s what seems to happen these days.

I know! I couldn’t believe it – what a game and completely unspoiled!
Box 23 was a bit anticlimactic as predicted but to be fair at least it fell to a player who looked daring/foolish enough to contemplate it (delete as you choose) so it wasn’t quite as weak as I feared.

I’ve an idea this would’ve been filmed Mid-November, so roughly 3 months before the air date. Probably the shortest lead-up time to a £250k win, combined with overall rather less interest in the show in recent years seem to be big factors in it being unspoilt.

Of course, having attended future recordings, the game results board proved a bit of a giveaway… Nonetheless, interesting to see what transpired. NOT the most gobsmacking moment of 2014 either 😉

It got a better reaction on the most things do on here. It must have done alright business in the ratings too. Why the surprise?
