Travis Penery

By | December 18, 2013

I discovered this morning that Travis lost his stroke battle this morning at the age of 30 (edit: apologies, 29, 30 next month), which is no age at all. Our thoughts are with his family.

Travis was a regular contributor to the comments of this site (his knowledge of contestant minutiae remains unmatched), and was a source for much of our feature material. He will be missed.

    29.

I read last week that Travis had a stroke. I’d been coming on here the past few days hoping that there would be a post saying that he is better. I come on here tonight and the news is truly saddening.

His gameshow related nerdery was awesome. What was that contestant on before? He’d know it.

Life isn’t fair but death is even crueller.

    RIP.

So sad. I didn’t know Travis but from his comments, and appearances on things such as fifty-fifty I know his knowledge was truly awesome. Condolences to his family.

I also only knew him from the things he posted online, but I can definitely say the world is a less interesting place without him. Rest in peace.

Knowing how good/expert he was on all things international game shows – anyone want to consider naming the Best Overseas Show in the Bar/UKGameshows End of Year Poll after him?

Would be a fitting tribute to a valued member around here.

Farewell Mr P. It was a pleasure to talk gameshows with you around here, sir. Condolences to his family.

          So do I.

We won’t forget him. Someone with a highly distinctive place amongst us, and a genuinely nice man.

Have only just seen this – was genuinely taken aback. A man passionate about his biggest hobby to the point of expert status.
