Fifty 50 Show reaches its MILESTONE thirtieth episode where I chat with Lewis Murphy about lots of gameshow related news with emphasis on the new Million Pound Drop. Look out for the brilliant dubstep gag I make, which you’ll already have heard if you were about on Twitter yesterday morning. Enjoyed recording this one.
SPEAKING OF WHICH next Saturday’s MPD special guests are none other than Sarah Alexander and Mr Brian Butterfield himself Peter Serafinowicz. I’d love to watch, but unfortunately on Saturday we’ll be providing a live commentary for the first Schlag den Star on Pro Sieben. More details on Saturday.
Meanwhile on Sunday it’s the SUPER FUN SUPER SIZED SUPER STACKED BSOP SUPER FINAL. 5000 chips and ten minute blinds and it’s open to anyone with a PokerStars account who can legally play and is willing to stake the $20 + $2 entry fee. It will determine the winner of the BSOP, but even if you can’t win (and even if you’ve never played before), you’re welcome to come and join us, there’ll hopefully be lots of money on the table. SKILL YOUR WAY TO VICTORY. It’s the last game of the BSOP season!
Speaking of German shows- looks like Cash Crash is coming back July 26th. From the translated article, it appears the four shows will be Celeb shows, and they’re going with two teams of three format the US pilot used..
Mmm… not sure I love that, but I think they’re longer episodes than the US show so hopefully there will still be elements of strategy.
Yes, you’re right and it will air right after celebrity family fortunes, also hosted by Daniel Hartwich, though the German format will be a bit of a tournament like one. Didn’t like it, when I heard it…
Hello! I have a link about game shows and a link about poker so there can be no better place to share them both in the whole of the entire world than the Bar.
1) Really neatly compiled: An oral history of the birth and death of BattleBots.
2) I’ve not been following this year’s WSoP properly but I was delighted to discover a few minutes ago that Jesse May is blogging again. It won’t last – Jesse has had and abandoned more writing projects than I’ve had Bob’s Full House revivals – but it’ll be brilliant while it lasts. The man’s still got it; I can’t think of anyone who tells ramblin’ gamblin’ tales better than him. His tribute to someone behind the scenes of TV poker is simply beautiful.
