Divided’s back in April

By | February 23, 2010

With Andrew Castle. So there we are. I’d give you a specific date, but Endemol’s Twitter hasn’t said anything.

That is CLASSIC Bother’s Bar investigative journalism in action, there.

And a streamlined Pointless is in the listings as being back 8th March, thanks Travis.

I take it Andrew still won’t be asking the questions, except for just before the answer is revealed?

I’m guessing it will return on Tuesday 6th April. The Alan Titchmarsh Show wraps up on Good Friday, 2nd April and I cannot see ITV1 airing a new series on Easter Monday. Given they have got a 23 episode run it will run up to Friday 7th May, missing out May Day Bank Holiday.

23 episodes is a really strange episode order number (and 5 weeks this time instead of 6- I’m assuming The Chase is likely to return May 10th then)

I know The Chase has been given a 60 episode run but that could be on the basis it gives away less money compared to Divided. I wouldn’t rule out Divided to have another series to be aired before Christmas though.

Where do you get the 23 episodes from? I am on the forthcoming series and I was episode 30

ITV’s sponsorship website has listed 23 episodes. Also I read on Quizzing they only wanted 30 teams so given some episodes has more than one team appearing, it would tie together.

Hopefully more of Alexander’s flirting banter with Richard will make the cut this year.

Good news certainly, but having seen a bit more of Minute to Win It, I can’t help but feel that being late to the party is going to go against it.

Maybe, but would ITV have a case for copyright infringement? In the litigation-mad USA, you’ve got to think CBS might try it…

            Well let’s see…

            The Cube US
-7 games to win $500,000 with no safety net.
            -Levels are (assuming they follow the pilot) 1K, 2K, 10K, 25K, 75K, 200K, 500K.
-(likely) One female assistant (The Body)
            -9 lives
-(possible) British voice describing the games
-some games are timed, some are not.
            -games have simple names
            -slow motion and special effects

            MTWI
10 games to win $1,000,000 with a safety net after game 5.
            -Known amounts (based on videos)- 1K, 2.5K, 5K, 10K, 50K (safety). (possible amounts after that? I’d think something like 100K, 150K, 300K, 500K, 1M)
-all games are timed (60 seconds or less)
-players are shown the games ahead of time, so they can practice (over 60 games apparently)
            -2 female assistants
            -British voice describing the games
            -3 lives
            -games have funny names
            -slow motion
