Wine Cellar

By | May 9, 2013

Slow news week.

However, @artbegotti pointed a video out to me this afternoon claiming it to be a bit Fort Boyard-esque, whilst also being from the mind of Bother’s Bar favourite Aussie comedian Shaun Micallef – as it turns out the very sketch somebody introduced me to his show with:

(Incidentally there’s usually a “gameshow segment” in The Micallef P(r)ogram(me), many of which are very funny indeed so do check them out.)

Fort Boyard already has “pied marin” – sea legs, and it’s one of our favourite games. But imagine something a bit puzzlier and spatial awareness-y, how incredible could it be? Would probably require one of the Fort’s bigger rooms, especially if it would have to rotate.

Speaking of Aussie comics, it looks like the second series of Bother’s Bar favourite 31 Questions is wrapping up filming soon, so fingers crossed it won’t be long until broadcast!

Meanwhile they’re looking for contestants for The Million Pound Drop, if you want a go you can apply here.

They could just revive Toile d’Araignée. That was a great game. Set it outside, dangle it above the sea, possibly spin it across another axis at the same time, bosh.

I do find this quite fascinating, potentially there are 10,000 different phone numbers for that viewer end game, did they have to buy them all up? Did people get large amounts of phone calls to wrong numbers? Fascinating. Also I note that it seems pretty clear that only the part after the commercials was live and the rest looks like a pre-record.

Canale5 to air Avanti Un Altro! reruns this Summer.
Nicola Savino to host again Minute To Win It next September.

last Tuesday Radio Deejay celebrated the 20 years of its comedy show Cordialmente
(the network’s longest running show) with a special episode on their telvision channel.
they played the AUA! endgame like they do on the radio, with their “shrimp” variant (answer correctly, but to the previous question)

    it starts at 5:50
