This week we’re playing the fun 2-7 Triple Draw as part of our Mix It Up Real Good series, and it’s open to anyone who fancies a game.
In other news, several people have posted this so I’ll repost it here so it’s easy to see, here’s the most recent episode of popular Japanese adventure dodgeball game Battle For Money. Apparently there’s a new episode of Run For Money this weekend as well.
Unfortunately I’m working this weekend, but NEXT weekend I intend to do a feature on Cash Crash which has been picked up for a series following a successful pilot on RTL earlier in the year. It’s also being shopped around as a multi-team format Don’t Drop the Money, but I’ve seen bits of it and it’s poor in comparison.
Meanwhile new sitcom The Security Men got five million last night, the campaign for series two of Cannon and Ball’s Casino starts now.
An interesting new rule in Battle for Money: Contestants who wish to drop out now have to declare their intention 5 minutes in advance, at which point all other players are notified. If they don’t get eliminated in those 5 minutes, *then* they leave the game with whatever money they have on hand.
Ooh, a Run For Money spin-off ? Looks … weird.
Celebrity Money Drop last Friday night on TF1 – good ratings and an interesting rules twist.
Four celebrity pairs play for one, similar charity – each one start with a €125k bankroll (25*5k, half the usual civilan starting stack) plus whatever the previous team failed to save previously (so the fourth team could start with half a million euros … should the three first teams had been particulary bad). Also, each successful all-or-nothing move earns automatically €5K for their charity, regardless of the final outcome.
