A quick reminder, in BSOP off-weeks we have a championship for people to try out poker variants for no money, but with a glass-effect trophy at the end of it. Mix It Up Real Good returns this Sunday at 8pm and you’re more than welcome to come along and play and chat.
This week we’re playing the action packed No Limit Omaha Hi/Lo. Links to how to play all the games are provided on the MIURG page. Join us!
In other news, Five Minutes to a Fortune films in March.
And, for those taking part in The Suspect List, get your entries in by Friday evening, as that’s when I’ll be closing this week’s entries.
Hi/Lo is at once possibly my best game (with the possible exception of badugi which I have a very odd knack for – it’s the only game I’ve won a cash tournament for) and the one that can frustrate me the most.
I expect it to be great fun.
Yeah, I like Badugi (actually I’m not bad at lowball games), it was in last year’s MIURG line-up but I felt the second half was a little bit draw heavy.
I am not very good at Omaha.
Badugi was a lot of fun and it gave me my best placing in last year’s tournament. Brig was first and I was the runner-up

“…Channel 4, which is down from 13.4% to 8.1% during the 3.10pm-5pm period.”
OUCH. That can’t be sustainable, surely?
I’d be very surprised if they don’t move Countdown back to 3.30 – losing half their viewers during the slot? That’s got to hurt.
Face the Clock is doing very badly, but C4 are fronting it out by suggesting the demos aren’t bad. I suspect they aren’t good either.
It’ll be interesting to see how The Con Dom does in February. I think it’s a good idea the production doesn’t do justice to.
Yup, if there’s been a running theme in the last two years, it is “good ideas that the production didn’t do justice to”…
