- Have the words “public transport” ever elicited such a dramatic sting and reactions before?
- One of the teams appears to be Mario and Luigi in the guise of private detectives. Really Nintendo could sue for intellectual property infringement.
- I agree with Greg in a previous post – that was very oddly edited towards the end. Was it, perchance, meant to be a 90-minute opener the network decided to edit down to an hour?
Not to my knowledge- it was always scheduled for a one-hour premiere.
Though I’ve never seen so many mistakes in an episode by teams before- one in particular was really funny (the “sudoku” shirt one)…
Think they have a great bunch of teams this season, i always like it when they come to the UK so am hoping for that as they have not been here in ages.
Does anybody know if the U-Turn or Speed Bumps are back?
here’s info on some of the games on “Minute to Win It”

Rumors from france that Fort Boyard 2010 will go alone with Oliver as the host. Looks like Anne not gonna be replaced either.
That’s an interestingly fundamental change if it’s true.
(mild location spoiler) There’s a Beatles challenge later in the season, so I’m assuming they at least make a brief stop in Liverpool
Although of course there was a Beatles task last time as well, but that was in Las Vegas.
They do go to Liverpool.
You almost have to be an “Angeleno”–a resident of the Los Angeles area–to understand their sting and reaction to “public transportation”.
Unlike many more compact cities, Los Angeles does not have a widely-used system of public transportation. Ours is a “car culture”, and the buses and trains here are used primarily by the down-and-outs, the poor, the minorities and the lame-and-the-halt. People who are used to tooling along in their own cars fear having to take the buses and trains, and regard it as something in between purgatory and a three-minute game with an automatic lock-in.
I take public transportation nearly every day. I have to, or I wold not be able to get around, as I do not have the visual wherewithal to drive an automobile. And, it’s just as well. Most of the time, I can relax, observe the people around me (both sober and inebriated), and figure I’ll get where I’m going when I get there!
