Grr, the 29th is Bother’s Bar’s MAN THURSDAY (with women as well)

Poker! Boxing! Quiz!

I’ve noticed that the Thursday 29th November looks like being particularly manly:

  • Bother’s Bar Poker Event! 8pm start deepstack turbo rebuy. $11 to enter, $10 rebuys and add-ons available for the first 30 minutes. Open to anyone with a Pokerstars account and member of my Poker Club. You can register for that right now.
  • TV Total Quizboxen Seconds out for the second Quizboxing event with Stefan Raab. We quite enjoyed it last time, with some reservations, and it starts at 9:55pm UK time, which should be decently close to the ending of the poker. So well timed, me. It should be viewable on a Pro7 dodgy stream, not unlike the one you may have used for Schlag den Raab for example.

It’s all too much, I’m going to need to eat some STEAK or something. Join us!

I see what you mean. Ha ha. Better than the original version already. Is this a one-off or a new series as I see it’s on for two hours?

it’s a series, but it’s not known how long it will last.

here’s the new host demonstrating the game with a RAI director as the contestant

Thanks. I did wonder but then I remembered when it was exported to Germany their version also ran for 2 hours but it also revived Ulla Kock am Brink’s game show career.

One more thing Cele. You said sometime ago Affari Tuoi will be taking a break in December but I understand they are still asking for contestants as applications are open until 31st December. Any chance you can explain this?

looks like Affari Tuoi is NOT taking a break this season.
RAI scheduled Still Standing to replace AT during the break, but the set was judged to expensive to build for just a few weeks worth of episodes.

      Maybe next Spring…

Thanks again Cele. I haven’t been watching it religiously but given what has happened over the last fortnight I have been watching it practically every night.

italian Minute To Win got 1,778,000 viewers, share 6.70%
    average for RAI2.

a nice touch for the primetime version is that at the end of every episode, the contestant who cleared the most levels is given a shot at the €500,000 game

this morning Nicola Savino on his radio show aknowledged that he should change his “…to win” gesture, for the international audience.
