Not sure if you’re aware, but my opponent from Countdown from 2009 is the current champ on Blockbusters right now. He’s got some interesting strategies 🙂
Is he the one that accidentally alienated the audience by going on a money grab during the Gold Run, only to get narked off when he was told he only got the money if he didn’t complete the run.
It’s the one time I’ve seen Simon Mayo snap into that ‘don’t muck about’ persona that Nicholas Parsons always used to talk about when he was doing Sale of the Century.
