In the meantime, Talpa’s I Love My Country is coming to the BBC, David Walliams is hosting and Frank Skinner and Greg Davies are the team captains. Members of the audience who support the winning side will go home with, it says here, “a special ‘I Love My Country’ prize.” I joshingly predict black pudding.

Avid UK poker watchers might enjoy the PKR Heads Up Grand Slam on, er, CNBC which had not previously crossed my radar. Lovely graphics, lots of chatty players (heads-up, obv.) plus Jesse May and Isaac Haxton in the box. The action is in person unlike PKR’s other shows which just have the graphical action from their fancy
