Alexander Armstrong and Emma Willis to host ITV1 and Endemol’s new show Prize Island, apparently.
The show is said to be a cross between Total Wipeout and I’m a Celebrity and set in Madagascar, and we gather the games are built around the prizes themselves.
It’s nice to see talented up and comers such as Armstrong get some TV work.
2013 Edit: Thanks to Ashley, to everyone asking where it’s filmed, it’s believed to be Bazaruto Island off Mozambique. No idea where Madagascar came from, sorry.
Teatime Ratings Wars:
Pointless 1.957m (14.0%)
Tipping Point 1.892m (14.5%)
Including HD (but not +1 for TP)
3.914m (17.0%) for MillIonaire
I was actually having my dinner at around 9pm, so that justifies the inclusion of Millionaire under teatime.
Teatime Ratings Wars Day 2:
Tipping Point 2.131m (16.2%)
Pointless 1.752m (12.9%)
Again including HD but not +1
Nice to see such an indescribably mediocre format doing so well.

Won slot for second day running.
Beating Pointless is a bit of an eye opener, even if it is a repeat.
It’s borderline mind-boggling, to me, how Tipping Point is attracting that many viewers. I just don’t get it.
But does BARB produce the figures in 15 min blocks like what Rajar do for the radio listening figures?
I’d be interested to see if there is a massive spike upwards for Tipping Point around 5.15, when the viewers for Pointless realise it’s a repeat and go sniffing out fresh viewing fayre..
..or even from 5.40 onwards, when people join to see the final round being played (and can be argued that is the most entertaning and quicker paced round in the entire show)
That’s what I found myself doing..
Fifteen Minute Breakdown (time stated is start of slot):

17:30 BBC1 2.02m. ITV1 2.21m
17:45 BBC1 2.49m. ITV1 2.43m
18:00 BBC1 4.09m. ITV1 3.12m
Teatime Ratings Wars Day 3:

WWTBAM 3.177m (14.6%)
Second in its slot, behind The Town That Never Retired on BBC One, about a million ahead of 24 Hours in A&E on Channel 4.
Cheers Paul for the 15 minute figures.
Just over 110,000 between 5 and 5.15 is not the “ahh it’s a repeat number increase I was expecting.
However, 220,000 in the final 15 does indicate a slight interest in the ‘final tipping’ game only.
These figures are surprisingly good – good enough maybe for a further increased run commission.
…Huh.
Not only are they adapting the Fighting Fantasy book House of Hell into a movie (…Which is, obviously, going to suck gloriously – How can a film adaptation of a game book not?) but apparently they’re attempting to make a game show out of it too.
