i suppose its for balance, filling the adam levine role from the us version. though i did hear ricky wilson (kaiser chiefs) name banded about, which might have been a better fit
Looks like a sensational lineup to me:
1. Jessie J: the 2nd biggest selling British female artist of the year
2. Will i.am: part of the biggest selling band on the planet right now.
3. Tom Jones: a Legend.
4. Danny: critically acclaimed musician
These four will ensure The Voice becomes the biggest new television event of 2012.

Would have preferred not to see a 3/1 male/female split, but Strictly has had one for years so there we go.
A good panel on paper all told – three very different contemporary pop artists plus one massively respected veteran. Will it work on telly? We shall see.
can have the coolest pop panel in the world, and it has a very cool pop panel. It won’t capture the imagination unless it’s Event Telly. After the gimmick of blind auditions, can they do something to make the musical chairs rounds rise above karaoke night at yer local pub? Will I be able to say, “it looks like it’s had some care taken” or am I going to be reminded of the delights of ?
