Hello!
Welcome to our eighties launch party. Help yourself to a vol-au-vent, and look! There are popular eighties musical turns Rick Astley, The Reynolds Girls and La Roux! Truly, we are partying like celebrities – we’ve got some prawns on a spoon and everything.
As you can see we’ve gone back… to the future! The winner of our Design a Masthead competition was Graham Kibble-White, a name you might recognise from such stellar sites as TV Cream and Off the Telly. As you can see, Blockbusters and Bob’s Full House are the inspiration. As such, he very generously suggested to give the prizemoney to Bob Monkhouse’s charity, Give a Few Bob, researching into prostate cancer. Thanks to everyone who entered, by the way.
WordPress is fairly lovely to use, but because I’m having to do this elsewhere and then migrate I’ve been unable to get the Weekend Specials and The Cellar up to speed just yet – I don’t want to get everything done and then change all the relevant links, so please bear with us, they should both be up and running properly over the next week – for the Specials Board (as I now call it) it’s just a case of tidying up, copying and pasting the HTML code, so shouldn’t take too long.
The Poll of 2009 will be up shortly.
Thanks for coming, and I hope you enjoy the new look.

Right, the head image seems to be working properly now as well.
Nice work, Brig!

popular eighties musical turns … The Reynolds Girls
I like it, but I’d rather You Don’t Know Jack.

Wow, stylish!
Just remembered to check it out – good work Brig.
A massive thanks from Prostate Cancer Research Foundation, the charity behind the Bob Monkhouse Give a few bob campaign for thinking of us.
