The Bother Series of Poker 2010 details are all up for your perusal, the first game is Sunday February 7th ay 8pm (that’s 1500hrs on the Full Tilt server), will cost $10 + $1 (that’s $10 stake and $1 FT rake) and I’ve added $25 to the prizepool to make it a bit more exciting.
You don’t have to be a regular contributor to play, although it’s nice if you do actually visit us from time to time.
Excellent Brig, looking forward to it.
In other news, the third-best-gameshow-that-had-an-episode-produced-in-2009 Accumulate! has its second semi final now up online. It can be viewed at http://www.ruon.tv .
Hope you like it. In view of one of the round’s topics, it’s appropriate that I place the comment here.
Ooh, will watch tomorrow, ta.
You could have given fair warning about the brief musical interlude, there. 😉
It’s only so that I get to pay myself non existent royalties.
While getting the opening theme for stuck in your viewers heads. It was more the song than the voice I was objecting ot.
…He says, while noting that he once watched all three opening titles that series went through back to back so as to have an informed opinion in a conversation comparing the three, and which of them was best. I forget the main conclusion I reached for the first and second comparison (partially because I’m forgetting which was which), but the change of art style for the third was hideous, and even without that it probably still would have been the worst of the three)
…There should be a [minor spoiler removed] between for and stuck, apparently the system strips anything in angled brackets that isn’t html out. Ruining the already lame gag while making the post unintelligable.
Blimey, I can’t see the answers at all in Speculate to Accumulate this week 🙁
No, don’t know why – looks like a white balancing problems. Give me an hour or two and i’ll post the questions / answers up here for you.
It’s not too bad on the second one, but the first one is pretty invisible unfortunately.
The lighting director’s thumbscrews have been tightened accordingly.
Here’s Speculate to Accumulate for this week:
HE LOVES ME or HE LOVES ME NOT
HE LOVES ME – Starting with the earliest, put these traditional gifts for LONG lasting UK weddings in the correct order. Remember, one item does not belong to the list. This is according to the Pears Cyclopedia dating back to 1967.
CORAL, GOLD, OAK, PEARL, RUBY, TOPAZ
HE LOVES ME NOT – Starting with the earliest, put these traditional gifts for SHORT lasting UK weddings in the correct order. Remember, one item does not belong to the list. This is according to the Pears Cyclopedia dating back to 1967.
BAROMETER, DUVET, LEATHER, PAPER, SUGAR, SALT
I’ve been finding it awkward to read them all through the series, making it hard to play along at home for it. Maybe tests with non-white paper before series might help? (Or post production, but that would probably require more time and effort, and look inferior to colours that don’t glare.)
For some reason, I don’t recall it ever being a problem in the first series.
We changed the lighting this series, greatly reducing the shadows cast behind everyone.
The idea of a coloured piece of paper is a great one – so simple and it will work. Thanks for that, we’ll be using that in future shows (obviously not next weeks, given it was filmed last November).
To continue a discussion from months ago, as much as Jesse May may represent – to some extent – the past of poker TV commentary, he is an effing fantastic blogger. He does rambling gambling tales better than anyone else.
