I saw this linked to elsewhere and it’s very funny. The most successful new comedy quiz in recent years in Australia is a show called Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation, the main reason it’s the most successful is the awe inspiring Shaun Micallef. It’s actually made by Granada’s Aussie division, so it’s possibly surprising a version of it hasn’t made it over here yet. Anyway, three teams captained by three people representing three different generations answer questions and do challenges. For many different reasons, the following is hysterical:
Talking of comedians, ex-Endemol quiz warm-up favourite Patrick Monahan won Show Me The Money on ITV1 earlier. I’ve already said here before I don’t find him funny, but good luck to him etc etc.
More hilarious was Jason Manford adding ‘2011’ to the final reveal – as if to suggest there might be another series. Not a chance.
Looks like mindless fun.
Perhaps the Australian folks should have come over here to find out what a Nacho really is. He got the corn chips right, but in these parts, the main part of a nacho is well-seasoned cheese sauce.
But then, I’ve lived in these parts for more than fifty years–and I have no taste for Mexican food whatsoever!
Over here it’s just “dump whatever you can that’s vaguely Mexican” on it.
That definitely has the “I can’t believe this is happening” factor. Like the contestants and the audience, I was practically watching through the gaps between my fingers.
Dan. Accumulate. Third series. Accumuladumpfoodonyournan.
Working on it!
