Short, also sweet

Well basically the trusty Bother’s Bar Supercomputer has picked a tremendous time to pack up, what with next week being so very exciting and everything so I’ll have to update by iPad, which is not ideal but also not the end of the world – expect entries to be a bit shorter for a bit, but never fear as I’ve got the Bother’s Bar Megacomputer on order, so fingers crossed normal service will resume shortly.

Bit annoyed it decided to cut out as I was watching Take The Money And Run though.

Hi, guys. I’ve just got back from my audition for The Chase, and…I’ve been shortlisted!!! Apparently, they’re recording a whopping 120 episodes for Series 5, so they want 480 people out of the 2000 they’re auditioning. Really chuffed to get through to the next stage, and it’s a perfect birthday present for me, as I turned 28 yesterday.

Congratulations from a Yank who feels this to be an excellent quiz format, suitable for export.

      Don’t you mean Series 4?

If ITV is going for twenty-four weeks worth of “The Chase” that would seem a tremendous vote of confidence in this show. Seeing how its ratings were with its last series back last winter, and seeing that they’ve been satisfied with running repeats of the previous series, I would think they would want as much of this as possible.

Mazel Tov to you, and to the producers of “The Chase”!

Series 4 starts soon. Presumably 24 weeks of The Chase will be split into 2 or 3 blocks.

If anyone needs a computer I’ve recently “acquired” some from the Tottenham branch of PC World. The box is a bit burnt but the contents are OK.

It says on my paperwork that it’s Series 5. I’m assuming Series 4 has already been recorded, and it’s due for showing soon. Filming for the series I auditioned for runs from October this year right through to April 2012.

two promos came out for the Italian The Cube.

in the first the announcer says that, because The Cube is being aired from London, “a real gentleman” will host it. and then shows pictures of English things with Teo Mammucari’s face on them (like £20 notes with Teo’s face)

in the second they shows clips of past shows, when Teo was being a dick (like hitting someone with a microphone to see if it works) and the announcer saying that now Teo is enought of a gentleman to host The Cube from London.
