I’ve thought and thought and thought…

…but Epic Win is still a rubbish title. Still, it’s being hosted by one of the few men in television to actually have a You Bet! trophy Alexander Armstrong, and you can get tickets for it here.

In the meantime, it’s the BotherSOP final on Sunday! Even if you can’t win the league, there’s likely to be a lot of money on the table, and if you’ve got $33 going spare you can grab a large part of it.

You can also sign up now for the one off HORSE Hilarity contest for $22, and I’ve added $100 to the prize pool out of my own personal wealth (VALUE and FUN!!!), so come and sign up – Full Tilt, July 3rd, 8pm, Tournament ID#239881938 Password: onlyconnect. It’s double stacked and played to fixed limits, so you should get your money’s worth at least, even if you’re rubbish.

Very strange choice I think, since anyone who follows him on Twitter or listens to his radio stuff will know him as a very nice man.

Meanwhile in television’s least surprising surprise, the BBC have announced they’ve bought The Voice.

TV budgets are always wrong in the press. They announced Treasure Hunt’s budget as £25m too but it was more like £2.5m

My wife saw Anneka Rice at Westfield today, incidentally.

Well, didn’t I tell you over half a year ago that The Voice was going to be a massive global format! And the BBC had optioned the series last year so were always frontrunners to get it. ITV did not bid from what I was told, so a couple of articles are incorrect.

had a brainwave at work today. at the end of the voice, will all the judges/exited contestants gather around the chosen winner and sing the john farnham classic “you’re the voice” ? because if they don’t its a missed oppurtunity.

I suspect no one here will have a clue who she is unless they live on the other side of the Atlantic, but Vanessa Minnillo has been named as Jill Wagner’s replacement on Wipeout. And though not surprising it’s been confirmed Winter Wipeout will return next year.

I heard the name the other day, and I couldn’t help but think to myself, “I know that name from somewhere…” but then couldn’t be bothered to research it further.

And the director deserves shooting (or dropping from one of the trapdoors on the main podium)

He only went and missed a close-up of the two trapdoors for the ‘money’ shot, thus wrecking in a stroke any additional tension and suspense in the build up…

Poor camerawork during that clip. Made it looks worse than it actually is.
