Right then, so we’re all well aware that ITV have an upcoming show called Sing If You Can recording soon where contestants sing whilst being distracted in hilarious and probably painful ways. It’s being reformatted slightly over here, all celebs are playing for charity and it’s likely to be a bit more extreme (one of the losers is going to get dunked into a pool from a great height). In the original, the singers are playing for members of the audience. Getting the tone right is going to be absolutely crucial, which is funny when you think about it.
Anyway you don’t need me to tell you about it, here’s the Pinoy version which is mostly in English anyway. As you will see it’s charmingly Phillippean, but I found myself fast forwarding through the actual challenges once it became obvious that there wasn’t much entertainment coming. This is the opening, the game doesn’t begin properly until part two.
Twist and Shout is the original name for the format, by the way.
Nice to see the legend Richard Hatch back on US tv in The Celebrity Apprentice, still as entertaining as ever as he single handed made the first episode.
Though i don’t know why i always though he was gay, but after looking him up on wikipedia found out he had a wife.
I’m sure he’s gay. That was part of his arc in Survivor, the old contestant Rudy, who came in with lots of preconceptions, surprising himself by making friends with a gay man.
How exciting, if you want to see Buzzerblog’s Double Cross being filmed LIVE, there might be a live video feed tomorrow night from about 11pm. More details as and when.
I don’t know what’s going on here: Conned by lure of gameshow.
Real Hustle?
That seems like a likely explanation, actually. Objective Productions… grrr.
I’ve had a bad experience of Objective Productions in the past too. I steer clear of the bargepole that’s even remotely near them. If it isn’t The Cube, don’t trust them. Not that I’m biased.
I can’t help but see alarm bells at “Please don’t log out,” and am horrified that anyone would do that on any machine that others have proper access to.
I mean, gods, thats up there with ‘don’t tell anyone your password’
Questions we haven’t asked for far too long: Is Joe Normal as good as Joe 90?
(Inspired by hearing a certain theme tune on local BBC radio, as part of their “guess the year” phone-in fun.)
Funny that, I’ve recently been reading Chris Evans’ autobiographies, and very good they are too.
