So, as promised, for the show’s fifth birthday week I’ve reviewed the Deal or No Deal app, currently going on iTunes for the non-bargainous price of £2.99. I’ll do Come Dine With Me at the weekend.

Seems like a good place as any to get this off my chest.
I’ve always loved anything that Noel Edmonds has done (yes even the very under-produced Noel’s House Party series before the last one) and my earliest tv watching memory is having that weird ‘lost and sad’ feeling aged around 4 when he said that was the last in the series of Swap Shop and it would be back in the autumn.
However, even I called him something rude this afternoon, when watching DoND and him constantly saying that this Friday is it’s “offical 5th Birthday”.
So, what was the show that started on Channel 4 at 4.15pm on Monday 31st October 2005?
How many of it’s day in day out fans are they hoping to fool with that piece of inaccurate verbal mis-direction and plain ballcocks?

A point that most of the DOND forum regulars have already noticed. I think because of the regular Halloween week, the birthday shows have been put to late November so that the 2 themed weeks have a gap in between.
Yes, they do celebrate on different days. Apart from 2006 when it was celebrated as primetime show (the normal afternoon show also aired that day). Other years have had it after Trick or Treat week. Thus.
