This is actually a pretty good line-up if it’s true.
Quick rundown:
- Shaun Ryder
- Nigel Havers
- Gail Porter Kayla Collins, apparently.
- Britt Ekland
- Linford Christie
- Lembit Opik
- Alison Hammond
- Gillian McKeith
- Stacey Solomon
- Dom Joly
- Sheryl Gascoigne
- Aggro Santos. Expect “who the hell is Aggro Santos?” to go viral.
I predict Gillian McKeith to be the one who gets to do most of the trials this year. Let’s hope they’ve come up with inventive ones.
I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! begins Sunday at 9pm on ITV1.
Edit: Hammond and Joly not quoted in the official press briefing. Maybe they’ll come in for the inevitable first live trial.
You’re misisng Lembit Opik off your list – surely he’ll be getting his fair share of trials too
How did I manage that? Thanks very much.
I predict Opik will fall into the “minor irritant” role rather than actively disliked. I am prepared to be wrong.
I don’t even know if you can call Aggro Santos a ‘one hit wonder’ – he got a moderate amount of radio airplay for one song earlier this year – that was a collaboration with someone else. A case of ‘never was’ rather than ‘has been’, I think…
Lembit Öpik? Good grief. Well, his stand up comedy career seems to have been eclipsed by Andrew Edmonds’, and his efforts to become mayor of London are running into the considerable force of Dappy from N-Dubz. Still, he’s guaranteed not to face any trials while the public are voting, because he hasn’t won an election all year.
here’s a blog post with some pictures from Trasformat

the first episode got a very good 10% share.
that’s as high as they can go without stepping on Canale5’s toes.
I’m rubbish at picture quizzes, so this leaves me a bit cold – it certainly comes across as decent for a round of a show rather than an entire show by itself.
and the 4th official has put up the board- Gale Porter is out, Playboy model Kayla Collins is in…
