You laugh, but we sort of actually done this once playing Mega Party Stop the Bus (i.e. it’s a card game played to extreme 12 player high stakes levels). £5 winner-take-all buy-in, with a £1 sweepstake on who will win on the side. It was fun.
I would like to check the rules here: I know that before Week 2, ‘changing an act in your squad for a wildcard act would incur no penalty’, but I thought that changing an act for another existing act (not a wildcard) would incur a penalty. Is that the case?
Yes that is correct, but you can’t have two of the same act in your line-up. The rule clearly stated that in the first week the wildcards were revealed, you could put them in your team for no point penalty, because you were not able to pick them as of right in the first week of the competition.
Good ep of The Cube last night- and I heard the ratings were good as well (5.4 million average, with a high of 6.4 million)…if this doesn’t get picked up for a 3rd series I’ll be flabbergasted…
We had a lot of people complain about the new Millionaire format, saying it’s too hard and there’s no way anyone would win huge money this season.
We’ve already got our first $250,000 winner, and during non-sweeps time, too. It’s the first $250,000 winner in 12 months. Given how this has gone so far I’m guessing we’ll be seeing someone face a million dollar question for the first time in three years in actual game play. Probably during the movie week, but nonetheless.
Right, for reference, I’ve had to modify three teams’ Fantasy X Factor points because I had given Belle Amie an extra point.
I had changed the scoring system this year, I’m still trying to get over it. If anyone spots anything else, do shout.
Are you going to launch a Fantasy Fantasy X Factor, where we bet on which Fantasy X Factor manager is going to win?

I would imagine that some of the patrons of the bar would enjoy this: it’s Winning Lines, a la francaise!

The rest will be side barred for your convenience.

and BTW it’s a CUBE, not a rectangular cuboid…
Perspective, innit.
I’ll take the simplifier!
Awesome, ‘Rectangular Cuboid’ is trending.
7 million next week, then!
‘Simplifier’ is a name that should stick. Or the more awesome ‘Simplificator’.
