In the interests of accuracy: Caoimhe. Not Caoime.
Do I have to spell this out? Very well.
C – hard c, as in “cake”
AO – diphthong giving an “ee” as in “tree”
I – a glide vowel, giving a brief “y” sound.
MH – aspirated consonant, in this place a “v”.
E – short e, as in “neck”.
Run it all together, put the emphasis on the first syllable, and Keey-ve.
Drop the H and the M becomes unaspirated, so Keey-me.
Magic Numbers was a massive flop in the ratings! Only 2.6 million. That’s what happens when you rip-off other shows… I’ve already called Endemol about Magic Numbers stealing their Deal or No Deal bit.
Odd One In only 2.9 million. 101 Ways on 3.9 million, Tonight’s The Night was 4.2 million.
Just out of interest Paul, and ignoring the rather blatant model presentational choice for the moment, it looked like those cases were shuffled and numbered pretty damn quickly between the quiz ending and the cases being bought out.
Is the adjudicator loading a second set of pre-drawn cases off camera, perchance? This isn’t meant to be accusatory, I’m just interested in the Magic Of Television (TM), btw.
It was suppose to finish on Friday but one show was postponed due the World Cup, meaning it finished yesterday. Series one repeats from today to Friday. Series three goes into production come the autumn.
“May throw up an old feature this evening”
As long as it’s not yesterday’s dinner, then that’s fine with me.
Ooh, Caiome’s walked from Big Brother.

Now, how does the Welsh bloke spell his name…
As if to boggle things further, native Irish people usually pronounce it “Kweey-ve”.
Similarly, Caoimhin (the Irish form of Kevin) is pronounced “Kwee-veen”.

See, the BBC do gameshows much better than ITV.
Did you call Radio Luxembourg about Endemol ripping off Take Your Pick? 😉

Tonight’s the Night rips off Surprise Surprise but that didn’t flop.
Shame Ratings Bear didn’t report it over the weekend, otherwise he would be on about deciding to eat Stephen Mulhern or Bradley Walsh.
When exactly is The Chase’s run ending? I thought it finished its 40-ep run yesterday?
Oh wait, they’re doing the first series again.
