Bradley Walsh hosts a big Saturday night entertainment show that appears to be a mixture of I’ve Got a Secret and Tell the Truth, where Peter Andre and Jason Manford play against a team of other celebs (in the first show it’s Lawrence Llewelyn-Bowen and Katherine Kelly from Coronation Street) in working out who in a line-up has an unusual talent or story. Old-skool!
This is so 80s-with-90s-presentation.
Its not as awful as i was expecting, think its going to hinge on the guests they get in as to how good each show will be.
The kind of thing i will watch is nothing else is on.
Not a bad show if I do say so myself, a Saturday night variety show with a quiz element thrown in. Definitely better than 101 WTLAGS anyway. Only one gripe though, it would be better for people playing along at home to see each of the guests, kinda like the ID Parade round of Buzzcocks.
I retract that last paragraph as they seem to be introducing each person now. They didn’t do that with the beardy guys (if they did, then I didn’t see it).
Wow, guess I’ll have to retract my whole statement as there’s no love for this show here or on DigitalSpy. I really thought that nothing could be worse than 101 Ways To Leave A Game Show, but there you go.
No, no – I quite agree that it’s not a bad show. It’s enjoyable fluff.
…Enjoyable fluff, however, isn’t something I like to dedicate an hour a week to.
Would you dedicate 45 minutes of your week to it 😉 ?
…Probably not.
Incidentally, it’s the sort of thing I might have been happy to watch while sat at the computer chatting online back when my television and desktop were in the same room.
I switched over from 101 Ways to Leave a Gameshow for a couple of minutes and this was excrutiatingly bad! It was NOT funny, WTF chose Lawrence Lewelyn Bowen to be on it?!! And basically boring and too slow with not enough tension. I’m sticking with 101 Ways to Leave a Gameshow which is much more entertaining.
I thought you love Endemol shows, Joe. 🙂
Not all Travis ;).
BBC Endemol shows.
Well I did warm to The Whole 19 Yards. That was quite good and better than I expected 🙂
But I have to admit the BBC shows are usually better. A lot of the great Lottery formats are made from Endemol. It’s a great production company.
…You’d rather watch the one that needs tension and kills it via over padding to the one that doesn’t pretend to have any tension nor need it to work?
How curious.
Well, more suspense than padding, but whatever.
I can’t translate thought to text today – Padding = Tension, and Suspense = Surprise.
Thought Odd One In was… Enjoyable fluff. Probably won’t watch again, but, no real problems with the show.
There’s nothing wrong with it, yet nothing properly, properly right. Kinda of how I expected it to be, really.
