I have to say, I’m loving the current set-to between Ben and the Chest of Drawers of Temptation – good on him for standing up for himself, I say. It’s also worth watching the follow up Tree conversations in the news as well.
However, my V+ box stuffed up last night’s recording and I’m unsure how bothered I am to continue watching. Still, three weeks is about three weeks better than I watched last year, so that OFFICIALLY makes BB 11 better than BB 10. Well done!
The insubstantive answer is that last night’s show began with The Amazing Tipping Bed, turning Ben from a little lier to a morning riser by the magic of pneumatics. Then he had a long and tedious row with G’Day Aussie Blawk. Dave proved least inept at those slidey-square puzzles, and Shabby spent most of the programme shattering into a million tiny bits before starting to glue herself back together. Like “Countdown”, the best bit was at the beginning.
The substantive answer is that this correspondent has pulled that summary together from memory. Haven’t been able to do that since 2004; indeed, I think I’ve watched more of this year’s series than any single year since. Possibly all the years since combined.
BB10 was better, with more interesting characters and storylines. Marcus was an incredible housemate and the whole Noirin thing with 5 men falling for her was great entertainment.
People who quit watching BB10 after a week or two really missed out on an epic series because it picked up so much half-way through particularly well the new housemates entered. It’s a cult series of Big Brother. The hardcore fans who watched it LOVED it.
This series is average. Too much bitching, not enough fun.
Personally, UKBB11 is pushing the right buttons for me.
Incidentally, my V+ box has also stuffed it – so I can’t watch TV. WHAT DID YOU DO BRIG?!
For all those intrested in 2010 Fort boyard there a video here of alot of the new stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPPdNCZkg-Q&playnext_from=TL&videos=vXKxHasPa4Q&feature=recentu
Looks VERY promiseing
Agreed, if anyone was going to get a two-team format correct, it’d be the French I’d place most stock in.
I think as long as people don’t mind the merging of test and adventure it will be OK.
Yeah, if you look at the brief clips of Echelle Infernale and Tuyau Transparent, you can see a clue canister, as well as what looks like the wooden thing that lock codes are put in.
Incidentally, I think this is last Sunday’s Run For Money: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Feg8wKp2dW8
Sorry, this is actually a repeat of the Kingdom one from a while ago. But it’s dead good, so give it a watch if you haven’t seen it already.
I have no idea why there are Regency fops.
Or what any of this means.
But it is awesome.
Thank god Sunshine is out – justice is done and that’s a clear sign to the viewers Big Brother should retract the warning they gave John James – not even Davina agreed (on twitter last night) his actions warranted BB’s interference. WOuld be interesting to know the state of the polls 24 hours ago too because I suspect that was the biggest swing since Victor and Shell’s wedding.
Anyway – back to the more traditional gameshow and come on C4 – commission Street Countdown! You know you want too!
From this sofa, Sunshine did herself in on Thursday’s show, by fretting about how she looked, and how it would affect her future career. If there’s going to be damage there, it’ll be done by appearing in the first place.
The warning to should stand, and the producers were right to warn him: he clearly crossed the line of reasonable behaviour. Sunshine wanted out and was made powerless by Aussie Bloke’s physical strength.
For the record, Sunshine was 12/1 for elimination on Friday afternoon.
a few news from Italy:
Affari Tuoi is coming back on Rai1 with Max Giusti, but he said he’s going to be his last season.
Italia1 will counter it with a new season (the 18th) of Wheel of Fortune with Enrico Papi and Francesca Cipriani as the new model.
Rai2 announced an “eco-friendly” daytime quiz hosted by the Prince of Italy.
Whatever that means.
