I’ve had a lovely e-mail:
Hi Brig,
It’s Jellybean here. I wanted to invite anyone from the Bar to come and watch a record of Perfection, and I was hoping you could put up an anouncement rather than me writing it into a comment box and it potentially getting lost. The dates are July 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 12, 13, 14 and it’s being recorded at TLS [That’s The London Studios on the South Bank – Brig]. If anyone wants to come can they send me their name, details and the day they are free to attend to [redacted – Brig]. I will put them on the audience list and try to meet up with them to hear what they think of the show.
Anywho hope that’s alright,
Josephine
Obviously, Brig Bother cannot guarantee there won’t be an element of interrogation, possibly waterboarding, but I cannot help but think that “being willing to listen to people” is better than “not wanting to listen to people,” so if you’ve got a day free…
Don’t forget also, these same people also want to know what makes for a good gameshow, which is actually a difficult question to answer (otherwise everyone would already be doing it) so they’ve broken it down into a big questionaire.
Damn, already spent my time off doing something the weekend after this. Might well see if I can make one of the earlier dates though.
Surprised this hasn’t been picked up yet – Millionaire UK’s adding the clock on some questions – with phone-a-friends going invision, presumably meaning they’ll be invited in rather than filmed in their lounge.
I actually mentioned this on here (and on Buzzerblog) back in February when they were recording the new format at the time. I know there are ten shows (not twelve as previously rumoured) in the can to be shown in the autumn.
Wasn’t aware about the invision PAF though.
Right – I’m confused here. 12 Yard are doing a call for audiences to attend – yet look on the SRO ticket website, most of the recording dates are now on ‘waiting list’ status?
I wonder what percentage of tickets 12 Yard have kept back for themselves to chuck out to the masses.
By the way, I’m going to a recording on the first weekend of taping, and I’m going to tap a few words about what to expect when it hits the screens soon after.
The percentage of seats we’re keeping back is 0, although it’s nice to think how much you overestimate how many friends we’ll have going! If you want to meet up during the record break let me know and I’ll find a way to find you. Really hope you enjoy it!
You really don’t want to do that, Jo! I can pick a bombproof new format apart in 8 seconds flat.
I went for a job in the development team at 12 Yard in 2005 – and although during the group discussion session I thought I did quite well – they didn’t want my formats…and it’s been a source of minor irriation since!
I have 2 tickets for the first recording on Sat 3rd, and that’s it – so during the recording break I’ll be over the road in The Mullberry Bush.
Thanks for being considerate to my feelings, although anything you’ll say probably won’t be as bad as some of the reactions I’ve had from commissioners over the years. They say in this job you need to be a little bit of a masochist. In any case please do say hi if you see me; I’ll be the blonde woman wearing a Perfection t-shirt that has the name Josephine on the back of it.
Anyone see Poker Lounge (as sponsored by Full Tilt Poker) last night? After the recent Five poker shows where we had a heat covered over 2 hour shows, cramming it into an hour that was essentially an hour-long advert for Full Tilt, seemed rather poor.
Yes I saw it by accident, Grub Smith seemed to struggle a bit without anyone to bounce off. It seemed (as I suspected) like they’re doing Poker After Dark but all in one episode.
That being said, I don’t think Late Night Poker suffers particularly for being done and dusted within the hour.
*Sigh* Curse the fact that I don’t live in Britain. TT_TT
