That’s right! Season 34 of Fort Boyard begins on Saturday night on France 2 for another nine episodes, 8:10-ish pm UK time although it’s usually late (9:10 on the continent), and this year Pere Fouras has another 9 strategies for shaking the format up weekly, although some have returned from last year.
New cells involve clambering across the oars of a pirate ship, climbing up a pinball table, setting clocks on a spinny floor, Sumo Ball off of Gladiators, snake-filled catacombs and doubtless many new mini-events. Episodes are unnecessarily followed by Fort Boyard’s Bit On The Side Toujours Plus Fort! for three hours of adventure and comedy.
Last year France 2 turned off their geo-blocking between 8-11 and if you’re lucky they might do the same again this year. Otherwise it would be useful if you had a decent VPN, so you could watch on catch-up if you wanted. I also use Microsoft Edge which previously had been translating the subtitles in real time which is a gamechanger, although I can’t make any guarantees this would still be the case.
