What happened to it being called I’m A Celeb All Stars? Anyway I’m not convinced by the prospect of people you’ve already seen doing things they’ve already basically done… but in South Africa! It’ll probably be good for around 4-5m (the lower end I suspect) which is more than ITV will usually be getting in the slot for three weeks, so fine, but I fear this might have a knock-on effect for this November, especially if it doesn’t really take-off which as pre-record and without the reactive element that the live shows do so well may well be a possibility.

Ultimately I think this is going to boil down to are people not watching it because it’s “inessential”, in which case November will probably be fine, or because it’s “crap”, in which case they’re going to have to put effort in.

My biggest problem with this version is that they keep changing the format seemingly at random. New twists keep getting added seemingly at random (Survival Trials, Prides, Chest Challenges etc.) Just pick a format and stick to it!
