Should be a fun series – Lee and Sarah are the stand-outs I think, Jamali a bit useless at the tasks but at least tries to bring it in the studio (and the cushion spinning was genuinely impressive, and I liked that he spotted the game in the live task first even if it was probably a bit early). Mike the opposite – a bit quiet in the studio but good at the tasks. Charlotte is Charlotte.
Wow where’s all the comments?
Show was really flat without the audience. Greg did say at the start that the audience were watching at a later date but think they should have added a bit more canned laughter at the bits you’d normally expect it during the VTs. When the rat first appeared for example. Felt weirdly underwhelming without any audience reaction at that point.
1.6m overnight, which is not far off what last season ep 1 overnighted with.
Might be of interest, Mike Wozniak and Diane Morgan’s podcast for Dave, Mr Gameshow.

Jackbox Party Pack 8 was confirmed for this fall- nothing officially announced, but one of the artists working on a game for them tweeted a logo suggesting one game will be called “Scrawl Targets:

Don’t think the show is any flatter than last series audience wise. Maybe I’m used to it, but it did suffer in the dull moments last year and the highs are never quite as high.
That said, if anything I think so far it’s got potential to be better than the last series on the first showing. Mike was my stand out although Brig is right more in the recorded stuff than live. Lee Mack is consistently good value and should be a national treasure if he isn’t already. Was a bit underwhelmed by Sarah but I think perhaps that might be her shtick and wouldn’t be hugely surprised if I absolutely love her come episode 10.
This really does feel like the Wozni-Mack show at this juncture but that’s OK. I really liked the Haunted House task. Not sure live tasks which basically amount to holding something up really work all that well.
