ITV Press release for this just come out, will be going out in the run-up to Halloween.
It very much sounds like The Sort Of Thing We Like. In fact we were talking about it in a previous thread.
Seems as good a reason as any for a video of 13: Fear Is Real, which was basically Werewolf with a horror-themed reality twist.
This was cancelled after one season, airing on The CW in 2009. It’s mildly entertaining, especially if horror movies are your thing (Sam Raimi’s an exec producer).
Insert your own “Karma Chameleon” joke here…

(and I’m still shocked no service has even thought about The Genius- I’d think it’d be perfect for a streaming service like this since they wouldn’t have to worry about fitting a 60 minute slot…maybe it’s just too cerebral..)
This Karma show sounds like a rework of “Endurance” another JD Roth show which was a play on Survivor which I loved as a kid. Definitely interested in that. Looks like to a contestant form Endurance is going to be a story producer as well pretty neat

dont forget escape the night and whodunnit. (I hated the former) .
Whodunnit? was entertaining but completely ruined by the fact that the “killer” didn’t really do anything, so how is anyone meant to work it out?
Whodunnit to me felt like the worst sabotages in the Mole, where either the producers do too much of the sabotage or we don’t get to see it. Whodunnit was a combination of both.
I wonder at what stage the contestants knew about the true nature of the show, given that the casting call made it sound very different a la series 1 of a lot of versions of The Mole. We might get that answered in the first episode of we see them finding out.
What EXACTLY was the casting call?
Well we don’t know. That’s the point. Probably something like “are you 18-30 and want a holiday?”
We have seen it. It’s exactly what triggered that comment about summer camps by Matthew Clemson on Twitter.
Stumbled upon this- a 2019 version of The Weakest Link in Greece..
https://youtu.be/V4TGJbwkfB8
(the money ladder looked strange at first- 20/40/100/200/400/600/900/1300 in 6 rounds of normal play, final 2 play a 100/200/400/600/900/1200/1600/2200 round- but then I realized if they max out every round it would be 10,000 total- just looked awkward)
I saw this version but not to the end, and I couldn’t understand why Wikipedia showed the top prize as €10,000. The version from Cyprus (same host, totally different set) does roughly the same thing for €5000. What does everyone think of this “new” style of Weakest Link that a few countries seem to have adopted? This uses an identical set to the Dutch version and possibly the Turkish one.
In other news- Guess Who’s the new show in development?

I commend the latest Technical Difficulties: Two of These People are Lying to the Bar. The gameplay is as fun as ever, but what you’re really there for is an extended reverie about a toilet-based version of Bob’s Full House between the two rounds. Pencil that in for Game Garage 3.
As an aside, I’d love to see the Technical Difficulties “do” Что? Где? Когда? – that could be spectacular.
Yes! Great suggestion! Sharing this with them
Starts next Sunday (27th) at 9!
