However, if I can get six people together this Thursday night, 9-10pm, for a voyage through time then there’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a while. You may need Discord (since Google Hangouts is shutting in a few months, I need to start seriously exploring alternatives for this sort of thing). If you’re interested, please let me know (preferably below as I might forget you on Twitter). If I get fewer than six there are a few options for things to do instead.

I haven’t used Google Hangouts in almost two and a half years so I can hardly complain, but I’m still a bit sad to hear it’ll be closing down.
I hear Discord mentioned a lot on Twitch streams but still don’t really ‘get’ it.
It’s very useful for live chat and screen sharing, as long as I can capture the visual output from the game and the chat (which should be very doable with XSplit) I can stream that way. What I’m hoping to do on Thursday is a pre-record.
I can now EXCLUSIVELY reveal that the hope is to do Every Second Counts on the Spectrum.

Would there be any point in there being a permanent Bother’s Bar Discord server for inconsequential, ephemeral community vaguely-game-show-related jibber-jabber, or would that be a terrible idea?
For instance, I have just found a tune in a video game that sounds like a cross between the RPG tune that it is and (if you choose to hear it) the much-loved theme tune from The Moment Of Truth: here.
