Well, I just had a nightmare at the poker table (second nut flush versus rivered quads. What are the chances, eh?) so as I’m home earlier than expected, here’s a feature on an Italian card game Mercante in Fiera, as it was mentioned on the Oca post a few days ago.
Apparently a US production company has optioned “Don’t Forget Your Toothbrush”. I knew DRG was trying to shop it around (there was a bit of pure speculation in one of the papers a while back that Chris Evans could be persuaded to host a UK revival), but some reason I didn’t think it was a flyer. It still might not be, of course. Anyway, Digital Rights Group press release (PDF): Link
Th’odd thing is that there already has been a US Toothbrush, which, well, sank without trace pretty quickly. Its existence may even have been forgotten by the company who has optioned it. It’s possible that I might be the only person left in the world who remembers it, even including the people who worked on it.
No no, I remember it and have an episode on tape. It was… American.
The US version is mentioned on the Wikipedia article. I was disappointed to discover that the host, Mark Curry, isn’t our Mark Curry. That’s probably where it went wrong.
