Series 6: Alice Levine, Asim Chaudhry, Liza Tarbuck, Russell Howard and Tim Vine. Interesting!

Tim Vine? NICE.
I’m a big fan of Tim but am not immediately convinced that his style will translate well to winning on this show. It’s quite possible that he may end up doing many things that make the Tim fans laugh their pants off and end up being a habitual receiver of last place from Greg.
I very much hope that they have asked Paul Sinha (who I’m convinced could be brilliant) to be on one of these four series, whether he has accepted the invitation or not.
How about some English lessons if it isn’t your first language courtesy of…erm…Whittle!
Wow renewed four more series that’s great love taskmaster
Seems very likely also that James Acaster is in one of these upcoming series.
My wishlist remains:
Sue Perkins
Limmy
Bec Hill
Susan Calman
Adam Buxton
Reginald D Hunter would be my shout for this. I also think Dom Jolly would be good but know ill be in the minority with that pick.
Seems celebablity has been quietly renewed. http://www.itv.com/beontv/shows/celebabilityseries2

They released a press release for it a few days ago.
I’ve been wondering if a family-friendly pre-watershed edit of the show could work; I have a feeling my nieces would rather like it, but they’re far too young for the normal programme.
I wonder what’s happened to The Button?
Anyone think 10 episodes a series is slightly too long? I thought 8 was pushing it a little bit; maybe it depends on the lineup.
No it’s a worry for me as well.
The exponential growth of Taskmaster continues, next year we will have 8 series, each 20 episodes long.
Absolutely agree – 6 is about right really. 8 got a bit tiresome by the end.
Not absolutely convinced by this line up either – seem to be moving away from comedians.
No it’s a worry for me also as agree 8 was pushing it a little bit but now 10 what the hell. This is how networks ruin shows as when something gains a good amount of success they do more than they should
Channel 5 are taking pitches for new shows in case they drop Big Brother- they’ll need to fill 110 hours in winter and summer between the various versions:
http://www.digitalspy.com/tv/big-brother/news/a850617/channel-5-big-brother-replacement-new-show-pitches/
Here’s an idea- do what MTV did and do a Challenge-like show using veterans from BB and other reality shows here and abroad: they’re on Season 31 here (and this season they had players from the UK show Ex on the Beach and our version of Big Brother)- that could easily knock out 30 hours or so….
Well they are considering to bring back Bullseye which depending on what angle they work at could be quite good. Would of thought C4 would of considered what with them having a darts license compared to C5.
Frustrating that they’ve gone for non-comedians for the two women on the next series. That’s such a QI/HIGNFY/WILTY? thing to do. There are loads of women comedians out there who I’m sure would love to go on Taskmaster alongside their male counterparts.
Liza isn’t a stand-up, but she acted in Watching and Upstart Crow – and I personally associate Alice with comedy because I don’t listen to much Radio 1, but I *do* listen to My Dad Wrote A Porno. I don’t think they’re bad fits.
