Awesome stuff everyone, I shall peruse over the weekend.
Interesting news- either to hype the move to a new night or because they started in a very public place early this morning (Times Square)- the teams for TAR XXV are out.
They are:
Bethany Hamilton and Adam Dirks: Married Surfers from Princeville, Hawaii (Bethany Hamilton is the one who lost an arm to a shark attack a few years back)
Kym Perfetto and Alli Forsythe: Urban Bike Racers from Brooklyn, N.Y.
Amy DeJong and Maya Warren: Food Scientists from Madison, Wisc.
Lisa Thomson and Michelle Thomson: Realtor Sisters from Miami, Fla.
Michael Ward and Scott Strazzullo: Firefighters from Boston, Mass.
Brooke Adams and Robbie E. Strauss: Dating Pro Wrestlers from Houston, Texas and Woodbridge, N.J., respectively. (Both work for TNA)
Tim Tsao and Te Jay McGrath: College Sweethearts from Pasadena, Calif.
Isabelle Du and Dennis Hour: Model and Accountant, respectively, from Tustin, Calif.
Keith Tollefson and Whitney Duncan: Engaged Couple from Nashville, Tenn.
Misti and Jim Raman: Married Dentists from Columbia, S.C.
Shelley and Nici Porter: Mother/Daughter from Detroit, Mich.
Oh, and a new element is on this season- the Save. The team that wins it can save themselves if they come in last in an elimination leg, but only through leg 9. No word on if this is in addition to the Express Pass or a replacement for it (I’m thinking the latter).
Su-per-champs! (Su-per-champs vs. Crack-er-jack, FIGHT.)
In the spirit of the summer of boring, Saturday saw the Boring conference in that London. The Indy sez at http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/this-britain/boring-conference-2014-yawning-well-youre-supposed-to-be-9466883.html that the organiser spoke about You Bet! While he remembers, we should get him to update the UKGS page on the show.
