We’ve got some things happening this weekend!
- We are going to do a feature on Die Klügste Deutsche this weekend. Might be Saturday might be Sunday. It’s the unpredictability that makes it exciting.
- Episode 04 (it’s the fifth one really) of Bother’s Bar pub quiz podcast The Line Up is going out on Sunday, this episode FOTBs Andrew “Keshihead” Sullivan and Shanine Salmon (who has actually been on Perfection this week) go head to head in a Special Gameshow Losers Special. WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN?
- Finally ALSO on Sunday, if a pub quiz wasn’t exciting enough, it’s game three of The BSOP from 8pm on Pokerstars. $5.50 to enter, and it’s open to everybody regardless of talent or league ambition. SO COME AND JOIN US!
It was a pity to see Shanine losing today.
Weird episode of Mastermind on just now. All of Humphrey’s questions have been dubbed back on in the edit.
New Pointless Celebrities tomorrow night as Series 4 starts with Episode 4, as you do…
Reflex filming at Wembley, Fountain Studios. Tickets via SRO. Doors open 6:15, which sounds either a) hopeful or b) they’ve REALLY rejigged the format.
Sounds like B) Brig.
The audience call out doesnt say that the audience are going to be standing up either.
Given that the pilot took two long sessions to record, getting the audience in at 6.15 and out before the last Metropolitian line train at Wembley Park back to the city centre, I suspect they’ve changed it from the person v person knock-out I saw (and the 3 member family team contestant call backs this up)to a points per game based format.
Which also means you can pre-record a couple of games/rounds in the afternoon, play that out to the audience in the evening during which on the studio floor, the next game is set-up. That would speed the whole recording process up by quite a bit.
Small ratings thing from last night;
5 gegen Jauch scored a 3-year high last night. 5.83m with 18.4% share (2.35m and a 20.6% share in 14-49). Good show last night, wishing someone would bring it here!
For reference, the first episode was the highest rated in the show’s 4-year history. 6.35m with a 23.8% share (3.07m with a 28.9% share in 14-49).
not yet 100% official but…
the Italian entry for ESC is Marco Mengoni.
as usual, the song is not necessarily the one brought to Sanremo.

my favourite one, the mono-note song, is only 8th of 14 but tonight’s the final night and anything can happen.
A date now for My Little Princess – starts a week on Monday at 10pm on E4.
Tim Vine was on the first heat of the new series of Let’s Dance For Comic Relief last night and Bradley Walsh was on the panel, if you were interested.
