Thanks to Kylie to alerting us to this – Endemol looking for teams of three for a new physical and mental challenge show for Saturday nights. Oh God. OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD (look for the 9th September).
Meanwhile in happier news, Peter Davey off of The Mole is working with Penn and Teller and Jonathan Ross on a new magic competition format. It’s practically a dream team.
Magic seems to be very ‘in’ at the moment, there’s another show currently in production called The Magicians fronted by Lenny Henry involving celebrities and magic for the BBC.
Endemol Joe please allay our concerns – for once we want you to tell us Endemol has a good format just please god not scare the hare..
That review of Hare is positively scary!
Itv have now confirmed The Penn and Teller show to be a 90minute one off. http://www.itv.com/presscentre/pressreleases/programmepressreleases/penntellerfoolus/default.html
Right kids, I noticed someone pretending to be Endemol Joe on the Ultimate Fweedom thread – please don’t do it, imitation is Not On.
I suspected that message was trolling
The “I hate old people” sort of gave the game away.
ASFF got 5.07 million last night- 750K less than the last episode of The Cube….
True enough but a) much better than the 3m it was getting on Saturdays and b) probably much cheaper than The Cube. Anything 5m+ is a fairly easy recommission, I would have thought.
My boss was on ASFF last night – he’s John Thomson’s brother, and you can imagine the p*ss which was taken out of him in the office this morning for his “gas mask” answer for something a man puts on his face! Apparently, they cut a fair bit out…for example, when he gave his camp “moisturiser” answer and Vernon Kay stroked his face, VK mentioned about Ben being a metrosexual and started camping it up as well – and they strolled off together arm in arm!
