Vote Early, Vote Often, and by ‘often’ I mean ONCE

By | April 21, 2010

Well, there are just TWO weeks left of the Gameshow General Election, Andrew Neil is preparing to grill the top three candidates for the host’s number one position over the next few days (he isn’t really). If you haven’t voted yet, then please remember to do it.

Can’t resist posting some more OC questions, seeing as all is quiet at the mo. Hope this isn’t the wrong time or place for them.

Mary I, James II, William IV, George VI

    knight, aerial, oscilloscope, Scottish flag

          Some tortoises mating.
          A triple-coloured river.
          A thistle.

Some of these clues are better than others.

Think where David and I are from.

Some letters. That’s as good as it got for us. For a while it was an unconvincing raindrop turning into some funny letters, later on it was some letters with some silly stripes, but at the end of the day… just some letters.

Either this is the best question ever or it’s going to be a crushing disappointment. It’s certainly bizarre enough.

I couldn’t work out which member of the set that referred to at first, but on further reflection I see what you did there.

Erm… a slightly colourful, slightly gibbous moon.

A 3d parallelogram turned slightly to the side with two lines running through it horizontally, conjoining in the middle.

I’ll do the royal question then…

    Is it Henry VII?

Well I can see that my second question’s proved hugely popular.

And I like all the additional clues suggested – especially the tortoises mating!

May as well throw in some more:

    A cake
    Four letters in a 2 x 2 arrangement
A lot of triangles on a flag
    Hexagons and a leopard’s head

Can’t be many more left to offer.

As for the first question, there might be the odd bit of dispute as regards Mary I – better clues would be Henry I and John.
