Hurrah! Die Sommerpause ist kaput, Stefan Raab’s back for another thrilling night of skill games and quizzes and tonight it’s a quadruple rollover, so he’s defending €2.5m of his own money.

WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN?

Well you can join us for a LIVE text commentary right here on the Bar, if we can get naughty streaming.

Viel glück!

It is past midnight. I have to be up early in the morning. But rather than sleep, I find myself punching the air and whooping while watching a German TV show.

Perhaps I should re-examine my life.

Your priorities look entirely well-aligned as far as I’m concerned!

It’s a clever design. I do like the way that you have to throw the tennis balls less far the worse you’re doing on any particular point, which surely increases the chance of hitting. However, the fact that Manuela managed to get a point with a single hit, earlier on, suggests to me that the game might be even better still if the field was, say, 10% longer. It’s not a very two-dimensional game, either, is it?

Spiel 12 – Aufrollen (Roll up)

Looks like it involves using those contraptions to get their car across the line first

Oh THIS IS HILARIOUS! Raab looks like a crab! This is a tough challenge too – Manuela going for smaller and steadier motions… but Raab’s in the lead…

Stefan gets a massive early lead using a long twist method, rather than Manuela’s many short twists.

It does seem odd than the billiards game was a long one but the last 2 for more points have been shorter ones

Spiel 13 – Wer ist das? (Who is it?)

A mainstay of SdR, recognising faces. First to 7 wins

Doesn’t help when at least a good third of them are particularly German people.

I don’t know why they don’t extent the animation a bit but use slightly easier faces, to make it a bit more teasing rather than know it/don’t know it.

    Stefan romps it 7-0

    Manuela 34-57 Stefan

OH, it;s Jenga! Or Wonga for those that watched The Big Breakfast

This could also do with a Wonga Ladder.

To be honest, this could just do with being Wonga, really.

Stephen risking his cranium by not wearing a helmet. (but then probably reducing the risk by getting well out of the way)

Depends. Some of the middle ones will be slightly larger than the outer ones, in which case you should avoid them.

Incidentally, Jenga is immeasurably improved by using a chess clock. Two minutes total, you lose if you run out of time or knock over the tower. It becomes a much better game.

That’s how Wonga worked. Each player had 8 minutes. First to make the tower fall or ran out of time lost.

I’d have thought ANY block falling would be game over, I had assumed that they were red to signify they could not be removed.

I thought I heard “best of three” in the rules, but I really must be mistaken.

I miss Sid Waddell. He would be brilliant commentating on something like this… and pretty much all the other random stuff.

WOW – Schlag den Raab continues to amaze and impress. Bad luck Manuela, you put up a good fight from what seemed like a weak initial few games!

Next up, sounded like the 17th November – the same day that I’m doing Survival of the Fittest: http://www.mhsurvival.co.uk/ . Why do I do these things?!

Definitely worth the wait, that was one of the best SdR’s for a good while. Bad luck, Manuela. You fought back well

After 546 (now 547) comments here, I have to wonder what the most commented article on the site is.

I think this will be it. I know one SdR thread went over 300 comments once, but I’ve never seen this many on any thread before
