It’s the first Schlag den Raab of the 2012! After winning the previous battle in December 66-0, Stefan Raab has a million Euro to defend. Hopefully tonight’s batch of contestants will put up a bit more of a fight.
I’m not going to be here for the start, but the regular punters normally offer up a commentary if you want to join the live discussion.
and Stephan goes about three clicks too far…Alexander is still in it..
And he just overcooks it! Alex still in with a chance but must win both the last two games to win the million.
That was well-played, a damn sight better than that tablecloth game, I must say!
Game 14, the classic Wo Liegt Was, looks like both men need the toilet!
Unexpected toilet break filler time!
And we have a “facilities break”….
That wheel game would be perfect for The Cube actually…
Very much so “REVOLUTION (except there’s already a game called that – Can you spin this wheel x times”
Good filling in from Stephen here. He used to host Fort Boyard over a decade ago, where he looked about 12.
Oh, they’re back.
A question about a place in Germany, point it out on a map, closest gets the point. Four points wins.
It’s almost 2am German time.
1 more point and Alex takes it to Game 15…
Alexander has 3 chances to stay in this…
Somehow, Alex could be a comeback king here, we might be getting to game 15!
And Alexander wins! It’s all coming down to game 15!
THE MILLION EURO GAME: Torwand.
Translates to Goal Wall
Is it sudden death goal kicking?
With progressively smaller targets, or something.
Well, that was anticlimactic…
First kick, RAAB’S IN. Big build up for a basic toepoke. OH WOW, ALEX RUSHES IT AND MISSES, RAAB WINS!
I missed it!
Wow, what an unlucky ending. He’s gutted. A good, if VERY VERY lengthy, SdR.
That’s gotta hurt…and if he hadn’t has so many footfaults in Dodgeball, he probably would have won that one, which might have changed everything…
You can tell they were shortening the later games! They only had the studio booked until October.
Well Alex is understandably gutted.
Well what an evening, it had it all – packing peanuts AND tablecloth pulling. Next SdR is 14th April, and there’s €1.5m riding on it.
It certainly did have it all. Gutted for Alex who could have won it so easily had he not rushed his shot. Some brilliant(and some quite lengthy) games tonight.
Thanks to everyone who watched and contributed, that was one of the lengthier evenings, it has to be said.
What a shame for Alexander, I thought he was going to make it after bringing it back from the brink all the way to the deciding game.
Apparently it’s also Alex’s birthday!
Ouch.
Just got home from work a bit ago… And apparently, it didn’t end that long ago! Thanks for posting the play-by-play, it was quite a fun read, if only because it meant I didn’t have to sit through three weeks of tablecloth pulls.
