Schlag den Raab 17th March 2012

By | March 17, 2012

7:15pm UK (8:15 CET),
Pro Sieben or (fingers crossed) internet streaming

It’s the first Schlag den Raab of the 2012! After winning the previous battle in December 66-0, Stefan Raab has a million Euro to defend. Hopefully tonight’s batch of contestants will put up a bit more of a fight.

I’m not going to be here for the start, but the regular punters normally offer up a commentary if you want to join the live discussion.

“TV hat sich soeben “wegen Inaktivität” ausgeschaltet,” says @mdr on Twitter. My TV has just turned off ‘due to inactivity’. “Wie recht er doch hat!” How right it is!

That said, INCREDIBLE JEOPARDY as another glass smashes there. I might go to bed.

Someone needs sacking for thinking that game would be entertaining!

My rusty German just heard ‘3 minutes’, that sounds promising!

Looks like they now have to replicate what they saw, and whoever has the most right wins, by the look of it.

If there’s one thing the Germans like, it’s… erm, yes, well…

Right, I *think* they will go in order from 1-32 and the first one to make a mistake will lose, a bit like that Fort Boyard game.

It’s a win for Raab! On his last card by the sounds of it. 34:21 to Raab with the five biggies to go.

    Game 11 is table tennis.

Alexander has to win at least 3 of the last 5. If Stephan wins Game 11, there is the possibility of a tie (Alexander can win 12,13, and 14, but Stephan can win 15 to make it 60-60).

Bonus points for actually showing the crew derigging all the kit for the performance though.

It’s one in the morning German time and we’re playing table tennis. Best of three games, first to eleven.

Yeah, looks like it, since they answered that first question flawlessly. I think it was sorting German footballers into age order

You get a question with so many answers, you pick an answer and slot in in amongst the other answers. If it if makes correct logical sense then play passes to your opponent, if you stuff up you lose the point.

I got that whole third list right…I figured it was oldest to youngest companies..

That’s three lists to Stefan, one more for the win for him.

Raab wins again in straight questions, giving him 57:21. It was looking great for Alex earlier, but Raab is on a Matchball.

Game 13 is Das Rad. The wheel.

It looks like they take it in turns to spin the wheel, and must get exactly 1-7 revs each time, increasing by one each go.

Looks like you can ‘bank’ part way through, although that then lets your opponent possibly overtake and complete the whole run.

Looks like they can bank their scores so they don’t have to go back to zero if they fail.
