He’s back! Having had two months to recover losing his six-episode winning streak, Stefan Raab defends his €500,000 from another member of the public and we’ll be there to guide you through it inbetween frantically searching for naughty streams that get taken down.

Join us for an evening of games, laughter, tears, more tears, gossip and games. This Saturday we’ll put up a link to the naughty stream we’ll be commentating from as well as the Youtube stream our commentary will be broadcasting from. Regrettably this will likely be on a short delay reaching you watching the same live stream we’re watching – little we can do about that, but on the plus side we no longer have to switch  commentary feeds halfway through. Usually during the ad breaks someone’s got a quiz lined up. It’s all good fun. And we encourage you to send in your thoughts leaving comments on our Youtube feed or tweeting us with hashtag #bbsdr.

Here are all the links you need:

Our live commentary stream link.

This is the stream we will be watching live and basing our commentary on.

That stream will probably go down at some point during the evening, here’s our first back-up one. If it all goes down, once we’ve finished panicking, we’ll put up links to streams we can find on here and on Twitter.

Follow us on Twitter for immediate news if something goes wrong. Or because we’re fun guys!!!! @bothersbar, @danielpeake, @ogbajoj, @davidjbodycombe.

Lorde and Marteria are this episode’s musical guests. Normally there is three, so may be another one will be revealed in the next few days.

In the meantime if you’ve got four hours knocking around, you can always watch our hilarious lo-fi version Schlag den Brig.

Apropos of nothing, I’ve been asked to put together a list of the top 10 most important game show moments in UK TV history. So may I canvas opinions here as to some suggestions? As well as the usual notable firsts or big wins, it would be good if the choices reflected important moments in TV watching habits, the TV market, or society itself.

If you haven’t got a full top 10, partial list are also very welcome.

In no particular order some rough ideas and themes.

Big Brother – The fall of Nasty Nick and the birth of Watercooler TV.
(ITV’s intranet is still called Watercooler)

Knightmare – The merging of video games and TV, emergence of fantasy into the mainstream and laid the groundwork for game show/dramas like Raven and Sub Zero.

The delay with Fort Boyard giving us The Crystal Maze and all it’s relatives. Maze is responsible for bringing many people into game shows and of course paid for future Channel 4 risks.

0898 Gate and the fall of Quiz TV changing fundamentally the relationship between producer and viewer.

The rise and fall of Saturday Night, although not a moment and covers 8 or 9 shows. Gladiators was endemic of this though. From 6 nations in Internationals to a 3 ep mini series then Ice Warriors.

The launch of Pop Idol and the rebirth of the aforementioned Saturday Night through Strictly and X Factor and the current search for the ‘next Saturday night hit’.

The first Millionaire and the launch of regular event television giving us all kinds of wonders like Touch the Truck and Poker Face.

Oddly some things that I feel should be recognised for their general epicness have never been ground breaking; just earth moving. Countdown, UC, Just A Minute etc. Channel launches have been impactful too, notably Challenge, ITV Regions and BBC4.

That is a good list covering most of the things i would have suggested.

However I think Wanted was truly a huge breakthrough. It was arguable one of the first reality TV shows, it used the Internet like no other show had done before and was way ahead of its time in terms of what it achieved.

I’ll stick up a post for this on Sunday morning after SdR so it doesn’t get lost in the muck. Feel free to respond here for now, I’ll include a link.

I hate coming up with top tens like this.

Youtube searches which are normally fruitless turned out quite well today. There’s a full episode of Movie Game with *shakes fist* Barrowman! A latter series episode Keith and Orville’s Quack Chat Show with the rubbish gunge tank and a non-celebrity special episode of Incredible Games with Walliams.

I also worked out that the game I thought was The Satellite Game, but wasn’t, was in fact The Big Dish, which resolutely refuses to be online.

Finally an episode of Mouse Trap is up and about on the tube – and claims to have been for two years – but I search for it at least every other month so it’s been hidden well.

Now, if only I could find Treasure Island New Zealand!
