So, about to go to bed, what pops up in my Youtube subscriptions? An entire episode of Cyberzone!
Set and host still work really well. Pace of game does not. Still, though.

I’d completely forgotten this was a Tim Child endeavour. Or that Ed Welch did the music.
As did I, although the Ed Welch thing came up in a conversation more recently.
I enjoyed your “THESP, BUILD ME A BORG” tweet even more when I hadn’t realised that an episode of Cyberzone had shown up recently, and thought that you had remembered the catchphrase based on nothing more than its passing mention in Ben Justice’s Top 100.
Cyberzone might be Ed Welch’s least good game show theme tune simply for the way it runs out of ideas near the end, and it’s still easily top-quarter.
I mean really, name an Ed Welch TV tune that ISN’T a grade A banger? You just can’t.
All Clued Up is probably top-half rather than top-quarter. Picky picky picky.
Not directly relevant, but if you want to experience something very very close to Cyberzone, I highly recommend the Nintendo Labo VR kit if you happen to own a Switch. While some people seem to be a bit ‘meh’ about some of the toycons in the kit, I’m actually finding them a ton of fun. The elephant, for instance, comes with a really fun marble run game where you have to manipulate ramps in 3D space to get a marble through a hoop.
For the full Cyberzone experience, sit in a Sinclair C5 while a mate shouts ‘Awooga!’ in your left ear.
